About IsThisLegit
IsThisLegit is a directory of reviews for websites and mobile apps. Our reviews are based on our own experience with the website or mobile app and user-submitted review accross the internet.
What each review means
We deliberately don't use a numeric score to rate. Instead, every review uses one of five below labels:
We found enough user-reviews and/or received payments ourselves to mark this as "legit." However; always be catious.
Too recently launched or we do not have enough proof to classify it as "Legit". Once we have enough evindence we will update the review.
Be careful; we have noticed inconsistencies in user-submitted reviews or found patterns that there might be signs of a scam present.
Be careful; we found this website or app to be a scam as it is not paying its users. We strongly recommend to stay away from these website/apps.
No longer operating. The website or mobile app has stopped its operations and might be somehting else now.
How we review
Every status is a mix of two sources: our own experience with the website or app, and user-submitted reviews we collect from across the internet — forums, social media, app stores, and other review websites, among others.
Where possible, our team signs up and tests the website or app directly, so we can test and evaluate the website or app properly. We combine that with what we find searching for user-submitted reviews: how many there are, how recent they are, whether they're consistent with each other, and whether they describe real payouts.
No single review decides a status on its own. We weigh the volume and consistency of user reports against our own findings and our direct experience can push a review toward "Legit" or "Doubtful" faster than user reports alone would. When the two sources disagree, or when there simply isn't enough evidence yet, we use a more cautious label such as "New" or "Doubtful".
Every review is dated when it is last changed.
